Our Vision
"Reaching up to God, in to ourselves, and out to the community." Our vision is never complete, but rather a continual process of growing in relationship with God and others - working together to become all He has called us to be.
Our Mission
The mission of South County Christian Center is to preach the gospel to every person, teaching them to conform to the image of Jesus Christ, equipping them to disciple others into the same image, and supporting the ministry of the gospel to every region of the world - thus fulfilling Christ’s command in Matthew 28:19.

Statements of Faith
The following information
has been provided to help you understand what we as a
people of faith believe. It is based upon the Bible as
our sole source of authority in determining doctrine and
practice. While this information is provided for you, in
no way should it ever replace the Word of God in
establishing our theology. We are people of the Word –
not of creed or of man’s interpretation of the Word.
This information is not meant to be all-encompassing and
there may be other issues about which you have
questions. For a deeper look into our Statements of
Faith, we would like to invite you to join our Welcome
to the Family classes:
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
(2 Timothy 3.16; I Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe in one God revealed as
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19; John 1:14; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians
13:14; Colossians 1:15-20;
Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation
1:4-6)
We believe in the virgin birth and the deity of Jesus
Christ, that He was fully God and fully man. (Matthew
1:23; John 1:14)
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died
for us. (John 3:16; Titus 2:14)
We believe that man, created in the image of God, by
voluntary disobedience fell into the depths of sin.
(Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12)
We believe
that the salvation of sinners is wholly through grace.
(Romans 10:6-10; 1 John 1:9)
We believe in the commandment of water baptism by
immersion in the name of the Lord. (Matthew 28:19;
Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48)
We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper. (1
Corinthians 11:24-26)
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, an
experience following conversion, and that His incoming
is after the same manner as in the days of the Early
Church. (Acts 1:5; 10:44-46; 19:1-6)
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, that it is the
will of God that believers walk in the Spirit moment by
moment. (Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 4:30-32; 5:18)
We believe that the Holy Spirit
bestows enabling ministry gifts upon believers
(1
Corinthians 12:1-11); and that we should show spiritual
“fruit” as evidence of a Spirit-filled life. (Galatians
5:22-25).
We believe a Christians’ moderation should be obvious to
others and should never lead people into extremes of
fanaticism. (Colossians 3:12, 13; Philippians 4:5)
We believe that divine healing is the power of Jesus
Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of
faith. (Mark 16: 17, 18; James 5:14-16)
We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal
and imminent.
(Matthew 24:36, 42, 44; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17)
We believe that it is our sacred duty to identify
ourselves with a congregation of believers. (Acts 16:5;
Hebrews 10:24-25)
We believe that all shall stand before the judgment seat
of Christ.
(Revelation 20:11, 12; 2 Corinthians 5:10)
We believe that heaven is the
glorious habitation of the living God and the eternal
home of born-again believers. (John 14:2; Revelation
7:15-17)
We believe that hell is the place of eternal separation
from God for all who reject Christ as Savior. (Matthew
13: 41, 42; Revelation 20:10, 15)
We believe that tithing and offerings are ordained of
God to sustain His ministry, spread the Gospel, and
release personal blessing.
(Malachi 3:10; 1 Corinthians
16: 1, 2)
